It's so hot in Vienna that I can barely sleep more than 5 hours each night, because the heat is keeping me awake. There is also no way to go shopping, walk somewhere etc without getting killed by the sun... it is all good tho, because since there is nothing to do but lie around, I have finally time to read again.
I finished almost every book on my to-read shelf, and so I did some book hunting today --> https://twitter.com/Onerva/status/221272346244288512/photo/1

Also, I saw The Amazing Spider-Man and am now madly, deeply, undoubtly in love with Andrew Garfield.

I rec the movie to everyone, btw. Waaaay better than the ones with Tobey whatshisname; and Andrew & Emma have craaazy chemistry on screen *-*
I had a really fun time at the cinema; and I think it actually is my 3rd favourite movie of the year so far, after The Hunger Games and The Cabin in the Woods. And yes, that means I enjoyed it more than The Avengers :X (Say that around ONTD and you'll get killed LOL)

And speaking of being madly, deeply, undoubtly in love; I haven't posted this picture here yet:

Okay, back to lie down on the floor, in underwear, needing a cold shower every 30 minutes and not for ~sexual~ reasons.

I hope you guys have a cooler summer, guh!

Sooo~ I just came home from Dinner with Joseph Morgan , Matt Davis & Michael Trevino; and it was hands down the best fandom experience I ever had in all my fandoms combined.

The whole Convention was pretty neat actually (funniest panels ever!) and I was nice meeting Ian Somerhalder & Paul Wesley (duh!); but to sit on a table with those 3 guys, getting drunk on champagne together and just talk about random things was really a ~*~dream coming true~*~. Joseph was sitting right next to me and it was such an intense feeling. Flawless human being; man of my dreams; smells so good etc etc ... doesn't like football tho, the only reason marriage between us can't be happening.

Matt showed up a bit late and kinda drunk^^ but made up for it by hugging and kissing us all, whisperings dirty things in our ears LOL if he wouldn't be so fucking hot, you would have to have him arrested xD and he was rambling on and no about the Illuminati - I couldn't follow him but whatevs^^
You should check out his new show "Cult" when it starts airing in January. Everything he told us about it sounded awesome, and the show is basically about how tv shows influence the minds of their fans. Seems right up our alley.

Michael was for me the easiest to talk to. Really relaxed and very fun; and you talk to him like you would talk to just about any dude you meet at a random bar or something.

I'm on such a high right now *___*

I'll hopefully get my pictures with the cast in digital form very soon, so I can share them here with you :))))

I am FINALLY at Book 2/Season 2 of Game of Thrones - A Song of Ice & Fire; and now it's time to write about it :)

I have to admit that although I am reading the books in english, it is a bit hard for me to follow the TV show in english. I don't know why - since I watch every other TV show/movie in english without a problem - but somehow it is like that for me with all things set in a medieval/fantasy world. I also prefer Lord of the Rings in german, it's just easier for me to follow.

Whatever whatever, onto all the things I love soo sooo much about GoT *-*

Favourite Quotes

"Let me give you some advice, bastard: Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor, and it can never be used to hurt you."
- Tyrion Lannister

Everything Tyrion says is pure perfection; the words above are a perfect example of that.

"You came to us outlaws, poachers, rapers, debtors, killers, and thieves.
You came to us children.
You came to us alone, in chains, with neither friends nor honor.
You came to us rich, and you came to us poor.
Some of you bear the names of proud houses. Others have only bastards' names, or no names at all.
It makes no matter.
All that is past now.
On the wall, we are all one house."

- Jeor Mormon, Lord Commander of the Night's Watch

I love everything & everyone concerning the Night's Watch. It was the storyline that intrigued me the most from the very beginning.

Favourite Male Character(s)

Jon Snow & Tyrion Lannister

I have strong feelings towards a lot of other men too (Eddard, Robb, Theon,...) but those 2 are simply superior imho.
What can I say? It seems I have ... a weakness for cripples, bastards and broken things. xD

Favourite Female Character

I choose Catelyn Stark, because she is the one I can relate to the most (I actually also relate to Sansa a lot but since she is an annoying brat for all of book 1, I would never admit to that :X lol)
I understand her love for her husband & children just as much as I can understand her dislike towards Jon, how hard it must be for her to have him around and let him grow up with her children.
She is a strong & powerful women, but in a more quiet and reserved way than Daenerys or Arya. A way that I prefer.

Favourite Pairing

Sansa Stark & Sandor Clegane

Beauty & the Beast reloaded; so sooo wrong but ohsogood; huuuge scary guy & tiny little princess ... what is not to love about this pairing?? *rrrrrrrrrrrrr*
And they are the only pairing in all my fandoms I'm currently reading fanfic of. That's saying something. You just gotta ignore how damn young Sansa actually is

Favourite Real Life Hottie

Kit Harington
Because he is hot & cute & hot; and also always very cute & hot when photographed with female (or male) cast members

Todays Topic: Offenbarung 23

As my Livejournal profile name thingy I use ~Berlin, Hotel Adlon. Es ist Dienstag, 22:59.~ since years now; and I often get asked what that is all about.
It is a often used sequence of an audio play series called "Offenbarung 23" by Jan Gaspard.

Offenbarung is the german word for the biblical Book of Revelation; a book that has 22 chapters. So this is kinda ~*~*~what happens next~*~*~

The series starts off with the real life events surrounding the german hacker Boris Floricic - who called himself Tron - and who was found dead in 1998 in Berlin. The case was closed as suicide although there are several indications it was murder.
There is an english wikipedia article about his life & death here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tron_(hacker) if you wanna check out more info about Tron.

The real Tron is the basis of the story, as the fictional character Georg Brand - also a hacker - gets his hands on data Tron has left before his death, that includes all kinds of hints of conspiracy theories. And so in every episode, Georg follows one of those hints.
There are all kinds of topics; from the deaths of Tupac and John F. Kennedy, to Jack the Ripper, to 9/11 and the evils of the german health system.
It's all pretty dark and creepy; and Georg is soon hunted by both the US and Russia; and you (along with Georg) don't have a single clue who you can & can't trust. The religious theme that gives the serie its name is rather subtle but very important to all events. (If I tell you that Georgs girlfriend is a prostitute, you can probably guess who/what Georg is believed to be^^)

If I had to compare Offenbarung 23 to a TV show, I'd probably say it's Alias meeting LOST meeting The Big Bang Theory xD

Ohh, and now you still don't know what exactly my LJ profile quote is about ... Georg always meets up with his allies, other spies, etc in the lobby of Hotel Adlon. It's where all the good conversations happen.

Sooo in case you speak german, the first episode is uploaded on youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/user/evolutionsforum/videos

You should check it out :D

We went to see The Avengers last night and it was amazeballs!!

I loved the humor of it; I can't stand movies of that genre taking themselves too serious because srsly, it's men in tighs and shizzle!! xD so yeah, that was great! Didn't understand a thing of what my bb Thor said because Chris sounds like he has a potato in his mouth all the time. He was so sexy though kdfjsdklfsjld *__*

It was so f*cking hot in Vienna the last couple of days, holy shit! I was at this music festival thingy on Tuesday (it was a national holiday) - and urgh the sun was burning so much, it was almost unbearable D:
Thank God it cooled down a bit now. The weather is still very nice, but more austrian now again xD

Tomorrow dreamhunter and I are going to see Cabin in the Woods at Midnight or some unholy time like that; so the Hemsworth-Festivals can continue :D ♥

Todays Topic: His Highness the Bread Prince aka. Josh Hutcherson

Considering I had about 5 dreams featuring Josh Hutcherson in the last 14 days (and it weren't even sexy dreams, mööp) it is fair to already include him in a list of life-changing people/things :D

He is way too short; and his head is awkwardly shaped; and he can't throw a baseball ... but if he isn't the most charming human being in this universe then idk xD

This here is one of my fave interviews of him that should prove my point :D

My obsession recently made me purchase this and this ; I will wear that outfit with pride once it arrives! Deal with it!

Todays topic: The relationship between Kate Austen and James "Sawyer" Ford on LOST

LOST was the only fandom I ever was involved in a huuuge shipping war. And loving every minute of it xD

In case you don't know the show, there was a major love triangle involving Jack/Kate/Sawyer and the "Jaters" & the "Skaters" were fighting to the death xD And I fought in front row, oh yeah!!

I felt extremely passionate about this pairing; and I re-watched those episodes that were mainly focusing on them like crazy. And when I was not re-watching; I spent all my time on LOST messageboards talking about nothing but Skate. Who they fuck cared where the random polar bear came from or what was up with those stupid ass numbers?? The show was all about ~the looove~ for me :D
(Well, that's a lie. I was really invested in everything LOST but I stopped caring the moment the show stopped caring about its characters and it became this crazy mess it was in the later seasons. I never even watch the final episode till this day *bitter*)

Anyway: I liked everything about them as a couple.
The crazy sexual chemistry; the fact they were both messed-up, dangerous, criminal people who somehow became better people when they were with each other; the epic moments the show gave us that made viewers realize just how much they care - it was all pretty flawless the first 2, maybe 3 seasons of the show ♥

I was also highly obsessed with actress Evangline Lilly (who played Kate). She was my very first girl!crush and she is one of the most beautiful women who ever walked on this earth and her personality is flawfree!!
Actually, Jennifer Lawrence reminds me a lot of her; how they both behave in interviews etc - that explains why I am just as obsessed with Jennifer now as I was with Evi back then :D

The autograph & letter I got from Evangline was my most precious posession for a looong time. I still keep it on display in my appartment :)

I also have an autograph of Josh Holloway (who played Sawyer) ... somewhere ... but I can't seem to find it anymore ;___;

Until this day the Sawyer/Kate fanfiction In Hiding by LeahKate is my most favourite and most re-read fanfiction in any fandom out there. It's basically 40 chapters of 2 characters do nothing but talking in an completely isolated environment. But those 2 characters are amazing enough to make that story work ♥

100 Pop Culture Obsessions that made an impact on my life somehow

Todays topic: Dawson's Creek

Dawson's Creek was the second TV Drama I can remember to have watched religiously - the first one was Bevery Hills 90210 (xD) but while I was still a baby when 90210 aired, DC was the first show I felt I could ~totally identify~ with.
Dawson's parents got divorced around the same time my parents got divorced; BFFs Joey & Dawson hooked up the same time I fell in love & hooked up with my best friend;... in my over-dramatic teenage thinking it felt like the series was written only for me xD

What I like about the show in retrospect is that it showed normal teenagers. Well, obvioulsy not normal, because no teenage boy would ever talk like Dawson did^^ but they were normal enough to really relate to them.
Afterwards we got all those teenage shows like The O.C. or Gossip Girl that just showed the rich and the beautiful. I enjoyed those shows too, but that is not the point, I guess.
I simply think it is nice to have a show that portrays characters that have the lifestyle & the problems of regular people.

I remember that it aired here on Sunday afternoons, so watching the show to end my weekend became a ritual for me I could not miss.
Aaaand I still absolutely ADORE the intro of the first Season! Such a great song and feel to it! When I hear/see it I get this nostalgic feeling of summer break from high school and everything *dreamy*

Oh, and in case you don't know: There is a new TV show out called "The B*tch in Appartment 23" or something; and James van der Beek is playing himself in it! A lot of Dawson's Creek jokes are happening! It is beautiful! You should check it out :D

steinsgrrl made me aware of this great blogging project going around LJ right now, and I am so signing up for this xD (click linky for more info on what it is about).

{Take the 100 Things challenge!}

LJ has been so quiet lately, so I hope more of you guys will take part in this; and if it's only by not kicking me off your flists because my upcoming rambling x100 will annoy you ^__^

The topic I chose is 100 Pop Culture Obsessions that made an impact on my life somehow !

It will include everything from TV shows that shaped me, to my most intense celebrity crushes, all-time fav movies, books, music etc etc
I will try to go a little deeper and elaborate just why a certain media is/was so important to me; but be prepared that sometimes I might just post a gif that says it all.

-

Considering what day it is today; my 1st entry just has to be about TITANIC.

I was 13 years old when the J. Cameron movie came out and my obsession reached scary territory, I guess xD

My whole room back home was covered in Titanic/Leo/Kate posters. There was no space left on the walls. All the posters and pictures and articles I had no room for on my walls, I put into folders. I actually still have those and recently looked through them again. Holy shit, I was dedicated o_O lol

Leonardo DiCaprio was my first big celebrity crush, and basically the first male I ever was interested in ~that way~. We share similar names, it was obvious to me we were soulmates!
I owned several of his movies that were out back then on VHS (Romeo & Julie, Basketball Diaries, This Boy's Life,...) and I watched them so many times the tapes literally fell apart one day.

Thanks to the movie, I got obsessed with everything Titanic related. My parents thankfully got me all kinds of books on the topic. Everything from novels to pretty impressive coffee-table books. Hell, I even own a book full of blueprints of the ship, haha.

To this day, the passenger I am most fascinated by is Madeleine Astor. I wanted to be just like her when I'd be an adult. Which basically means I wanted to get knocked up by the richest man in America before I was 20. I had good plans as a pre-teen, it seems. Didn't work out though D: LOL

So anyway, I guess Titanic was my very first fandom, before I knew what fandom even is :)
